Hedychium thyrsiforme
The Hedychium thyrsiforme is one of the taller varieties, known to grow to the height of over 200cm/80″! Its flower appears as a straight spike. Known as “ginger lily” or “ornamental ginger”. It is half hardy. The roots will stand an odd night frost even though its foliage will die back with the frost/cold. Through the growing season needs sunny warm conditions. All gingers are very good for pollinators!
