Hedychium greenii
The Hedychium greenii can eventualy grow to the height of 110cm/44″! So it is slightly more compact than some of the other varieties. It also differs as its flower has more of an arching appearance rather than a straight spike. Known as “ginger lily” or “ornamental ginger” It is half hardy, its foliage will not get through the cold, but the roots can stand some frost. It prefers sunny warm conditions through the growing season.
