Allium ‘Christophii’, commonly known as “the star of Persia”, is a very striking family member with its enormous metallic-lilac-purple flowers. Its flower stem can vary in height from 30cm to 60cm and the size of the flower can show variations also. This is due to it originating from seed rather than it being a cloned bulb variety. Hence its seed will be true and so it will self seed. One of the best alliums for drying.
