Allium ‘Red Mohican’ plant
An interesting and unique variety of the alliums. Allium ‘Red Mohican’ grows an eye-catching deep burgundy-red bloom that form drumstick like spherical flowers, with a spiky tuft of white tipped florets on top, resembling a Mohican type haircut. More often than not before the flower stem reaches its height, the stem is growing in twists and turns. By the time it is ready for opening the stem is usually straight. In general better grown in the open ground rather than in pots and planters.
